RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has revealed an ambitious US$100 billion project in artificial intelligence. AI a major step forward in the nation’s digital transformation plan and KSA unveils $100bn plan. The cornerstone of this massive undertaking and plans have been made to partner with Google Cloud to develop a state-of-the-Art AI center which is near Dammam located in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. This partnership is expected to create many jobs and contribute $71bn to the GDP of the Kingdom by 2030 in compliance with the goals set out in Saudi Vision 2030.
Labeled as “Project Transcendence”, the project aims to invest in data centers. New generation Internet firms and the development of a robust local AI ecosystem Promoting the growth of technology and industries in Saudi Arabia. This is the essence of the initiative primarily which seeks to attract international technology corporations to invest in the country. This drive stems from the Alat fund by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in partnering with other leaders to develop the Kingdom’s technologies.
PIF and Google cloud partnership plans are expected to cover investments from $5 billion to $10 billion. It mainly focuses on AI model improvement especially.The Arabic language’s AI models and thus the suitability of AI solutions across the Arab-speaking nations.
This massive move places Saudi Arabia on the map of global AI power. The global AI power enormous implications that go beyond the digital economy of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and their allies. Of course! the Kingdom aims to share values with this technological development and KSA unveils $100bn plan stimulating innovative breakthroughs. Economic diversification and strengthening the knowledge-based innovative and progressive economy with entrepreneurial dynamism. Thus maintaining its leadership in the process of technological advancement.
